Let's look at FAT

Sure, FAT has gotten a bad reputation over the years, but hold on a sec! It can't be all bad - after all our body produces the stuff - so it must serve a purpose in the body, right?! Yes indeed, it's not all bad...in fact there are a couple very important reasons for FAT...but it's not all good either. Let's take a closer look.

Much of the fat in the stomach area often lies directly under the skin. This is called subcutaneous fat and is not necessarily hazardous to your health. It might be a bit unsightly, but presents less harmful problems than the other type of fat. The fat that is harmful (if not addressed) is the unseen fat around your organs, otherwise known as visceral abdominal fat.

Visceral fat is different in that it remains the same shape and won’t fall to your sides or sink into your stomach when you are lying down. High amounts of visceral fat is dangerous and is correlated with cholesterol, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and other conditions. This is because visceral fat is the fat that is located inside the abdominal cavity – packed between organs – rather than underneath the skin (subcutaneous fat) and this fat will release acids that are metabolized by the liver, which can cause insulin resistance in the liver.

The CAUSE of Visceral Fat

The most common cause of this "internal fat" is accumulation of TOXICITY. Fat in general is a substance that has two main roles within our body; It protects and stores energy. It doesn't accumulate in or on your body for no reason. It accumulates because either your body isn't getting enough clean fuel (nutrition) from your diet OR because your body is accumulating toxins through lackluster digestive functions, poor dietary habits, medications, poor lifestyle habits, etc. If the body is unable to properly get rid of toxins effectively on a regular basis(seasonally), then it is stored in visceral fat in the short term in order to PROTECT vital organs.
