Bone broth seems like the latest fad and everyone is talking about it.  Do you believe the hype?    

Well, let me share my story of how Bone Broth changed my life.  

I’m Rick Kohut, owner of Health Street Wellness, and about 13 years ago I was struggling with chronic abdominal discomfort, and I was diagnosed with colitis, IBS and leaky gut (meaning that I was having a hard time digesting things properly with many discomforts). 

I was going through a stressful time running a farm business while building a new retail business and starting a young family. I was chronically ill because of a rushed, stressed lifestyle with little care and thought into how I was treating my body. I relied on stimulants like caffeine to get through my day. I was exhausted - emotionally and physically - and my body and brain needed some serious TLC.

By the end of 3 weeks drinking bone broth every day my digestion had improved dramatically. I made several other dietary changes, used biofeedback testing/therapy, a few key supplements, while avoiding my most problematic foods; coffee, pop, sugar and sausage rolls! 

Fast forward to today, and my digestive system is strong, I don't suffer from IBS or any other digestive disorder that the medical system wanted to treat me for (with Immune suppressants, Proton Pump Inhibitors and anti-inflammatory drugs). I'm free from medications and enjoy the foods I love, but in a way that makes sense for my digestive system. Life with bone broth is good!
