Product Description

  • Needed to form coenzyme A for energy
  • Supports a healthy cholesterol balance
  • Restores adrenal function after stress
  • Helps with detoxification
Pantethine, a biological metabolite of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), is a precursor to Coenzyme A, a critical factor in cellular energy production, Phase II detoxification, and the biosynthesis of numerous important orthomolecules (including sex and adrenal hormones and some neurotransmitters). Research shows that pantethine helps support healthy cholesterol levels.

A recent human study with 120 patients shows that the active form of vitamin B5 used by AOR in their product Panthetine lowers both total cholesterol and the “bad” form called LDL cholesterol. The patients were given daily doses of either 600mg or 900mg of panthetine for 16 weeks. Total cholesterol was reduced by 6mg/dl and LDL by 4mg/dl. Previous research suggests that with each 1mg/dl decrease in LDL reduces cardiovascular mortality risk by 1% The study was published in Nutrition Research August 2011 volume 31, issue 8 p 608 Previously pantethine has been studied both in Italy and Japan and these studies have reported slightly higher reductions in total cholesterol and LDL. The Base for an Essential Coenzyme Pantethine is a metabolite of pantothenic acid, or vitamin B5. Pantethine is required for the production of coenzyme A (CoA), an all-important nutrient in many cellular functions including energy production, detoxification, and hormone biosynthesis. Healthy Heart and Liver Pantethine supports healthy levels of cholesterol and triglycerides. As a precursor for CoA, it has other important roles as well. CoA is needed for the production of stress hormones. Stress depletes the body of vitamin B5, but supplementation with pantethine quickly restores adrenal hormone production. CoA is also required for the detoxification of various potentially dangerous substances, and it protects the liver from chemical damage. When the Limit is Not Enough Pantothenic acid itself is only needed in order to be converted to pantethine, the active form of vitamin B5. This conversion is carefully regulated in the body and reaches a maximum at a certain level. Unfortunately, in some people this maximum is not enough for optimal health. Supplementing with pantothenic acid will do no good in this situation, but taking pantethine itself bypasses the regulatory mechanisms, ensuring that the benefits of this vitamin are fully delivered. 90 Vegi-Caps Serving Size: 1 Capsule Pantethine 300 mg Key feature: Advanced form of vitamin B5 Suggested Use: Take three capsules daily, or as directed by a qualified health care practitioner.
